If you have been following our newsletters, you may have noticed that FFB is all in on winging. From La Ventana to Hood River, we have been traveling to the best wind zones on the West Coast to test and refine our newest line of foils, boards and of course our newly released Freedom and Session wind wings. Watching our team of rider’s rip through these epic wind regions we witnessed the progression from wider and bigger volume boards like the Wingnut, towards lower volume boards such as the Rubix and the FTW Pro and realized the need for a board designed to match the skill levels of our team and of course our customers that are ready for the next level of winging.
Over the last 18 months Freedom has been working behind the scenes designing and refining the perfect wing board to suit the progression of Wingers looking for that next level board. Today we are stoked to finally announce the release of our first wing specific boost board! The FFB Nugget is the newest addition to the Freedom lineup and is uniquely designed to specifically suit the progression of riders who have advanced with the rapid evolution of winging.
Whether its 10 feet in the air or downwinding a high-speed hood river wave section, the Nugget’s outline provides sufficient surface area to stick airs yet is minimal enough to reduce swing weight for endless downwind journeys.
As with any wing board getting up on foil, especially in light winds or with smaller wind wings can be a drag. The Nugget’s unique V-Tail bottom is a purpose driven design feature to help reduce friction on takeoffs and serves to avoid contact on sharp high speed carves.
